Hey there. I am a mom of a beautiful daughter, who had a stroke. She is a great kid, and I couldn't be prouder of her. I feel your emotions: trying to make the appointments, the therapies, negotiating with the insurance companies - all while trying to create "normal" family life for everyone. So mom, know you're not alone. Please reach out when you need to. You're doing great. xo and +vibes+.

I will keep you in my prayers, Sophie. I have a 20+ year-old niece who has lived with Prader-Willie. Her family, especially her mother and grandmother, who are RN's, have worked with her to help her development progress as normally as possible. Katie is a very loving, sweet girl who was able to graduate from high school by taking special classes that matched her abilities. So,Sasha and Ben,keep your spirits up.

Cris Mugrage and I would like to plan a fall dinner/dance benefit for Miss Sophia. Because neither of us live in the greater Chicago area, we are asking for some help with the planning. We are shooting for a late Sept/October date and need a place to hold the dinner/dance, food, a DJ, etc. Obviously we would like to keep our overhead as low as possible so we can give as much money as we can to Sophia's medical fund. If you know of anyone/place/thing etc that you or someone you know would be willing to donate or would like to help in the planning process, please let us know!!
You can email Melissa at melissaroeder07@yahoo.com
You can email Cris at stinamugrage@yahoo.com
Thanks so much! :)

Miss Sophia Grace,
You do not know me yet but I am staking my claim as one of your many "Aunties". I love you a lot, all the time from far away and am devoted to helping you and your family thrive.
Love and Squeezes,

I am so glad to get to know of Sophie (and Sasha and Ben.) A dear friend of mine is named Richard. He prefers to be called Richie, and I have called him that for 20+ years. He lives with Prader-Willi Syndrome, and I have learned a great deal about PWS, but more than anything I know a man who is caring, funny and much-loved. I know a lot about PWS, and I know things that only time will teach. I can offer friendship, and a lot of hard-earned knowledge.
Tricky knows me, through the internet. I will alert some of my old co-workers about Sophie. You may be hearing from them. God bless you!

Sophie has grown into such a beautiful little girl....Believe me it gets easier yes there will be obstacles and challenges.. I remember almost now 6 yrs ago getting Olivia's diagnosis of PWS it was devastately. But we took and fought with it just as your doing... Olivia is living proof that yes our kids can grow up healthy and happy... We are having state chapter walk this summer come and join us.. our families are the greatest resource when it comes to specific PWS challenges. Just remember every child is different. Other fund raisers in honor of Sophie could be a small walk of your own and or a dinner and dance. Keep up the great job Sophie...

Sophia, I know that your mommy and daddy will do anything in the world for you, and that you are the world to them.
Sasha, I will start thinking of anyway that I can help, even if it's baby sitting so mommy and daddy can get some time together!
