Become a Merchant Partner

Thank you for your interest in becoming a merchant partner with WhatFriendsDo.com.

When our friends and family are in the midst of a life-changing event, we want to help in whatever way we can. Sometimes that help is practical, and sometimes it needs to be whimsical. WhatFriendsDo.com provides the opportunity to make purchases without having to search for resources, thus allowing family and friends to concentrate their energies on supporting their loved one.

Merchants are essential to the success and survival of any community. This is also true for the online community of WhatFriendsDo.com. WhatFriendsDo.com has established the What Friends Give store to help friends as easily as possible. That means making merchants and items a click away! Shoppers in the What Friends Give store are shopping with a purpose: to help a friend dealing with a specific crisis. What better buyers can a website deliver?

How What Friends Give works

  • Merchants prepay for clickthrus ($100 minimum). Clickthrus costs $.15 and each time a visitor on our site clicks on a link to your site, we deduct one clickthru ($.15) from your balance.
  • You must submit each product you would like to promote on our site to WhatFriendsGive and our staff will determine the best category/categories in our store for each item.
  • We guard against fraud, so you will not be over charged. Clickthrus will only be deducted once per day per visitor*.
  • After three months, if you have a remaining balance and you do not wish to continue listing your item on our site we will refund the balance of your account.

Tracking Visitors

Visitors are counted using their login credentials and web technologies such as cookies to establish unqiue web sessions for each visitor to the site. We can identify unique users when they log into the site using their email and password. When users visit the site without logging in, we can also identify users based on the combination of their computer's internet address and their web session ID. In certain cases we may not recognize multiple distinct non-signed-in users from the same computer on the same day. In those cases, our tracking is conservative and records one clickthru per day.

Friends and Teams

On the WhatFriendsDo.com website, "friends" comes in all forms ~ brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, cousins, neighbors, classmates, acquaintances, teachers, clergy, healthcare providers. So, even if the focused person on your 'team' is your relative, the WhatFriendsDo.com text will refer to that person in general terms as 'your friend.' The importance of teamwork when a friend is going through a life-changing event cannot be emphasized enough. We all have different skills, talents, schedules and personalities. Friends, neighbors, co-workers, classmates will want to help, and by having a WhatFriendsDo.com team, no one person has to do a lot of work, and many, many things can be done to help your friend get through a difficult situation.
