Our service people deployed in the military need cheer for themselves, and also for their families at home.
Here are some ideas of things to do to help ease the time spent serving our country.
Family fun day - Plan an outing for the whole family … include several families – go to a waterpark, a museum or the zoo. Babysitting – Someone whose spouse has been deployed will need the help of others in so many ways. Offer a gift card for a little shopping spree or a golf outing, and include a hand-made certificate for babysitting (and then follow up with a suggested date and time to reinforce the sincerity of your offer.) |
Plan a care package party – Use your WhatFriendsDo.com team page to organize friends to assemble gift packages to send to your special service person. Include personal favorites for your friend, and make a few generic packages for him or her to share with other military persons. Have each person include a handwritten note. |
